Migori County Clears Sh1.1 Billion in Pending Bills
Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko announced that the county has paid Sh1.1 billion of the total Sh1.7 billion pending bills, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to clearing the balance.
The pending bills had drawn criticism from some Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and prompted a Senate Committee on Finance and Budget visit led by Senator Bonny Khalwale to ensure payment of the 2023/2024 pending bills.
Governor Ayacko also highlighted plans to boost local revenue, projecting Sh600 million in the 2024/2025 financial year, up from Sh420 million in 2023/2024, by implementing automated systems for efficient revenue collection.
