Kenya’s National Adaptive Archery Team Wins Africa Silver in Tunis

by KenyaPolls

Kenya’s adaptive archery team—the *Silent Arrows*—claimed silver in the compound open category at the 2025 Africa Para Archery Championships in Tunis on March 28, 2025. Led by David Omondi (arm amputee, former soldier), who scored 689/720, the team trained at a new facility in Lang’ata using mouth-tab release aids and voice-guided targets. The bullseye doesn’t care how you hold the bow—only how steady your heart is, he said. The Kenya Archery Federation, recognized in 2024, now has 12 para-clubs. Safaricom pledged KSh 20 million for equipment. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs in Czechia.
