Kenya’s *Flying Disc Lions* won the 2025 African Ultimate Championships in Durban on April 13, 2025—defeating South Africa 15–13 in the final. The self-refereed, non-contact sport saw Kenya dominate with speed and spirit-of-the-game ethos. Captain Wanjiru Njuguna (Nairobi) was tournament MVP. Ultimate Frisbee Kenya, recognized in 2024, now has 47 university and community clubs. The win secured qualification for the 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships in the USA. Safaricom sponsored national jerseys, and the Sports Ministry allocated KSh 20 million for field development. It’s sport without ego, said Njuguna. Google Kenya hosts weekly Disc & Code nights for youth.
