The Kenya National Cycling Team has partnered with a German tech firm to utilize artificial intelligence for hyper-accurate bike fitting ahead of major international competitions. Using motion capture cameras and AI algorithms, the system analyzes a rider’s posture and pedaling dynamics to recommend minute adjustments to saddle height, handlebar reach, and cleat position. We are chasing marginal gains. This technology ensures our athletes’ machines are perfect extensions of their bodies, maximizing power and minimizing drag, said the team’s performance director. The initiative marks a significant tech upgrade for the historically underfunded cycling discipline.
