by KenyaPolls

The Nairobi National Museum has unveiled a new permanent exhibition merging sports history with virtual reality. Titled Train Like A Star, the installation allows visitors to don VR headsets and experience training simulations alongside holographic guides of Kenyan legends. Users can attempt a steeplechase hurdle with Ezekiel Kemboi, go on a paced long run with Vivian Cheruiyot, or take a penalty against legendary goalkeeper Francis Onyiso. This is about immersive inspiration. We’re using technology to make our sporting heritage accessible and thrilling for the next generation, said a museum curator. The project was developed in collaboration with Kenyan animation studio, AfroVR.
