Uhuru Kenyatta Appointed AU Champion for Institutional Reform

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has been appointed by the African Union Commission as the Champion for the Institutional Reform of the African Union. The role will see him lead and support the continent-wide process of reforming the AU’s governance, finance, and operational structures. The appointment marks Kenyatta’s continued engagement in high-level continental diplomacy post-presidency.
