Turkana County introduced Star Navigation Running in 10 schools on February 18, 2025—students learn traditional celestial navigation (*Ngiturak*) while running night routes across the Chalbi Desert. The stars are our first GPS—teaching direction before data, said elder Lemaron Lengurisi. JKUAT monitored 300 participants: 89% improved spatial awareness and endurance. The program reduced nighttime accidents by 62%. UNESCO is documenting the oral star charts for intangible heritage. A documentary, *Paths of Light*, is in post-production.
