The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has opened applications to fill 9,159 new permanent teaching positions across primary, junior and secondary schools nationwide. Specifically, 7,065 positions are for primary schools, 12 for junior schools, and 2,082 for secondary schools. Candidates are required to be Kenyan citizens and — depending on level — hold either a P1 certificate (for primary) or a Diploma in Education (for junior/secondary). The recruitment aims to address staff shortages, improve teacher‑student ratios, and support ongoing reforms under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system. Interested applicants have been advised to submit their applications online before the deadline.
