Police units deployed in Kenya’s coastal region have apprehended three individuals in distinct operations conducted across Kwale and Kilifi counties as part of their continued efforts to combat criminal activities.
In Kwale County, law enforcement officials acting on specific intelligence information conducted a search operation at a dwelling in the Denyenye neighborhood of Ng’ombeni, resulting in the detention of Bakari Idi Raisi, 19, and Daudi Munye Mandu, 18.
These two individuals are alleged to be members of the Panga Boys, a criminal group responsible for numerous incidents of intimidation and violence affecting residents along the Dongo Kundu bypass and the Likoni-Ukunda road.
Both detainees are currently in custody at Kwale Police Station.
In a separate incident in Kilifi County, security forces successfully located and captured Joshua Ngala Hinzano, widely recognized as “Goliath,” in Tangini Village within Madamani, Ganze.
Hinzano had been evading authorities and is sought in relation to a triple homicide case in Malindi.
The three detainees are now undergoing legal processing prior to their court appearance.
Security measures across the coastal region continue to be enforced, with officials expressing their dedication to reestablishing order and guaranteeing the protection of all inhabitants in the area.
