Senate Launches Probe into KEMSA Procurement Scandals

by KenyaPolls

The Senate has formed a special committee to investigate allegations of procurement irregularities at the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA). This follows a damning report by the Auditor-General questioning the purchase and distribution of malaria and mosquito nets worth billions of shillings. The probe will also look into the alleged importation of sub-standard test kits. Senators vowed to hold accountable any officials found to have engaged in corruption, noting that KEMSA’s failures directly impact the country’s healthcare system.
