Ruto Fires All PSs Appointed by Former President Uhuru Kenyatta

President William Ruto has dissolved the entire cohort of Principal Secretaries (PSs) appointed by his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta. The move, announced by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, renders all 43 PSs jobless with immediate effect. Koskei stated the action was to allow for a fresh, transparent, and competitive recruitment process in line with the new administration’s agenda. The fired officers were directed to hand over to their respective accounting officers. The mass dismissal signals a comprehensive purge of the previous government’s top civil service cadre.
