Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo has confirmed ongoing efforts to open, grade, and murram feeder roads across the county, highlighting their importance for local business and mobility.
Currently, rehabilitation works are underway in Township Ward, West Mugirango Constituency. Roads such as the Amazon-Omotembe have commenced, while the Nyaigwa Girls–Catholic–Nyamira Institute of Technology road and the Family Bank–Nyairicha road have already been completed.
Governor Nyaribo emphasized that improving the county’s road network is key to supporting economic activity and connecting communities, noting that these works cover multiple wards across the county.
The initiative has received mixed reactions from residents, with many welcoming the improvements while others expressed a preference for tarmac roads over murram.
