Nakuru County won the 2025 National School Adaptive Canoeing Championship at Lake Naivasha on May 10, 2025—fielding integrated teams using outrigger kayaks and voice cues. Standout: 15-year-old Ian Mwangi (leg impairment), who finished 500m in 2:18. Canoeing teaches balance—not just speed, said coach Jane Kamau.
