An impact study by the National Crime Research Centre, released December 2, 2025, confirmed that Nairobi’s Parkour for Peace program (News #105, #186) reduced gang-related violence in Kibera by 49% in 10 months. The program—training youth in movement, conflict de-escalation, and mural art—now serves 1,800 participants weekly. When you learn to fall safely, you learn to walk away from fights, said coach Zawadi Mwaura. UN-Habitat awarded KSh 80 million to expand to Mathare and Mukuru. A feature film, *Gravity of Hope*, begins shooting in January 2026.
