Motari Urges Kenyans to Support Their Alma Mater

by KenyaPolls

Joseph Motari, Principal Secretary for Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs, has called upon all Kenyan leaders and philanthropists to enhance educational environments at their former learning institutions. Addressing attendees at his former primary school, now known as Nyabikongori Comprehensive School in Kuria East Sub-County, Motari emphasized that leaders and successful citizens should contribute to the development of their alma maters to improve infrastructure. Motari highlighted the importance of giving back to one’s community by enhancing the educational institutions that shaped their personal and professional growth. Motari’s personal initiative has transformed the school’s infrastructure, with the construction of four modern classrooms equipped with tiles, ceilings, and electricity, creating an optimal learning environment. These new classrooms can accommodate about 70 students each, alleviating overcrowding and improving safety conditions for learners. Daniel Chacha, the school’s head, stated that the new facilities will contribute to raising educational standards at Nyabikongori Comprehensive School. Chacha noted that the previous school building had been declared unsafe for educational activities by the Ministry of Health. The school administration expressed satisfaction with the new facilities, which they believe will foster a better learning environment for students to excel academically. As an alumnus of Taranganya and Isebia secondary schools, the PS announced plans to inaugurate a laboratory and library at Taranganya Boys High School, as well as organize a fundraising event later this month for Isebania Boys High School. Regarding political matters, Motari appealed to residents of Kuria and the broader Migori region to endorse the inclusive government led by President Dr. William Ruto. The gathering was attended by Monica Motari, a parliamentary aspirant for the Kuria East Constituency.
