A Nairobi-based software company, Maisha Digital, has launched Kick-Insights, the first locally developed fantasy football platform exclusively for the FKF Premier League. The app allows fans to build virtual teams using real players from the Kenyan league, earning points based on live match statistics. Unlike international platforms, Kick-Insights includes deep local analytics, vernacular language options, and airtime rewards for weekly winners. We built this for the die-hard Kenyan fan who knows their Vincent Oburu from their Austin Odhiambo. It deepens engagement with our own league, said CEO David Omondi. The app has garnered 50,000 downloads in its first month, catching the attention of league sponsors.
