On 12 November 2025, the Kitui County Assembly unanimously passed the Kitui County Supplementary Appropriations Bill, 2025 (County Assembly Bill No. 4 of 2025), after successfully completing all three readings. The Bill will now be forwarded to the Governor for assent and subsequent gazettement, allowing the County Government to implement the Supplementary Budget Estimates I for FY 2025/2026.
During the same sitting, the Assembly also approved an adjustment to the Annual Calendar for the Fourth Session (2025), moving the December recess to 17th December 2025 and resuming on 10th February 2026. This adjustment will allow MCAs to:
Conduct public participation on the proposed Annual Development Plan (ADP) for FY 2026/2027 and the Kitui County Finance Bill, 2025.
Undertake sectoral consideration of the proposed ADP for FY 2026/2027.
Participate in the 6th County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) Games, 2025, in Meru County.
The House adjourned its sittings on 12th November 2025 and will resume on 9th December 2025.
