Kisii County won the 2025 National School Bao Championship in Siaya on January 25, 2025—using strategy and oral proverbs in *Bao la Kiswahili*. Their success came from the *Bao in Every School* program, reaching 78 schools. Standout: 15-year-old Moraa Nyaboga, who won U-16. Bao teaches patience—not just moves, said coach Zipporah Nyaboke. The county built 10 solar-powered Bao centers. UNESCO is reviewing it for intangible heritage.
