With the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on the horizon, Kenya’s para-athletes intensified their training camps across the country. The National Paralympic Committee of Kenya (NPCK) organized several high-performance camps in Nairobi and Iten to fine-tune the athletes’ preparations. The focus was on athletes who had secured qualification slots at the World Para Athletics Championships, as well as those hoping to qualify through final ranking spots. The camps provided access to specialized coaching, sports science, and medical support. The team’s leadership expressed confidence that Kenya would once again be among the top African nations at the Games, aiming to surpass their medal tally from Tokyo 2020.
