Kenyan Paralympic sprinter Samwel Kimani, competing in the T11 category for visually impaired athletes, shattered the world record in the 100m at a Grand Prix event in Paris. Guided by his guide James Boit, Kimani clocked an astonishing time, slicing a significant chunk off the previous record. His performance was a masterclass in speed and synchronization between runner and guide. The achievement was a massive statement of intent ahead of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where Kimani will be one of the gold medal favorites. The National Paralympic Committee of Kenya lauded his dedication and described his world record as an inspiration to all Kenyans, especially those living with disabilities.
