Kenya’s parkour squad claimed bronze in the team freerunning event at the 2025 World Freerunning Championships in Berlin on September 28, 2025—showcasing fluid vaults, precision jumps, and wall runs inspired by Nairobi’s urban landscape. Led by Zawadi Mwaura (22, Mathare), the team’s routine—set to Benga beats—earned 92.6/100. They trained on rooftops, stairwells, and abandoned factories, using GoPro feedback. Parkour isn’t stunts—it’s problem-solving in motion, said Mwaura. The Kenya Freerunning Federation (recognized in 2024) now has 18 community hubs.
