Kenya’s amputee para rowing team—the *River Warriors*—won gold in PR3 mixed doubles at the 2025 Africa Para Rowing Champs in Tunis on June 22, 2025. Mary Njoki and David Omondi finished in 7:58 using adaptive oar grips. The river doesn’t ask how you row—only that you move as one, said Njoki. Training at Homa Bay, the team now has 5 members. Safaricom pledged KSh 24 million. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs.
