Kenya’s National Korfball Team Wins Africa Bronze in Kampala

Kenya’s korfball team—the *Unified Eagles*—won bronze at the 2025 Africa Korfball Cup in Kampala on May 24, 2025. The mixed-gender sport (similar to netball/basketball hybrid) saw Kenya defeat Ghana 22–19 in the playoff. Korfball teaches equality—no position is male or female, said captain Aisha Hassan (Mombasa). The Kenya Korfball Federation, recognized in 2024, now has 18 clubs. SportPesa sponsors national kits. CAF featured it at the 2025 CECAFA festival. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Champs in South Africa.
