Kenya’s kabaddi team—the *Lions’ Breath*—won the 2025 Africa Kabaddi Cup in Dar es Salaam on February 16, 2025, defeating Uganda 38–31 in the final. The contact sport (raiders holding breath while tagging defenders) has surged in Coast and Nyanza schools since 2023. Captain Ochieng Omondi (Kisumu) was MVP with 14 raid points.
