Kenya’s National Adaptive Table Tennis Team Wins Africa Silver

by KenyaPolls

Kenya’s para table tennis team—the *Swift Hands*—won silver in men’s Class 8 at the 2025 Africa Para Table Tennis Championships in Cairo on April 8, 2025. Led by David Omondi (arm impairment), who defeated Algeria’s top seed in a 5-set thriller, the team trained at the new Lang’ata Adaptive Centre. The ball doesn’t see disability—it sees timing and heart, he said. The Kenya Table Tennis Association now has 9 para-clubs. Safaricom pledged KSh 18 million for equipment. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs in Slovenia.
