Kenya’s National Adaptive Rowing Team Wins Africa Bronze

Kenya’s para rowing team—the *River Warriors*—won bronze in PR2 mixed doubles at the 2025 Africa Para Rowing Champs in Tunis on June 8, 2025. Mary Njoki and David Omondi finished in 8:42, using a fixed-seat boat. The river doesn’t ask how you row—only that you move forward, said Njoki. Training at Homa Bay Rowing Academy, the team now has 6 members. Safaricom pledged KSh 20 million. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs.
