Kenya’s adaptive canoeing team—the *River Warriors*—won bronze in KL2 men’s at the 2025 Africa Para Canoe Champs in Tunis on May 10, 2025. David Omondi (leg impairment) finished in 52.8s, using a custom outrigger kayak. The river doesn’t ask how you paddle—only that you do, he said. The Kenya Canoe Federation, recognized in 2024, now has 5 adaptive clubs. Safaricom pledged KSh 20 million for equipment. Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Para Champs in Poland.
