Kenya’s Green Industrial Parks in Athi River and Naivasha have attracted 50 eco-friendly manufacturers in textiles, plastics recycling, agro-processing, and solar equipment. The parks, developed by Kenya Industrial Estates with GIZ support, offer carbon-neutral infrastructure, water recycling, and renewable power. Tenants enjoy 10-year tax holidays and EV shuttle services. Phase 1 is 90% occupied by firms like EcoPost and SunCulture. The parks aim to reduce industrial emissions by 50% and create 10,000 green jobs by 2027. They align with Kenya’s Climate Change Act and net-zero 2050 goal, positioning Kenya as a leader in sustainable industrialization in Africa.
