The National Library and *Jalada Africa* held Kenya’s first Sheng Sports Haiku Contest on July 15, 2025—receiving 2,410 entries. Winner: * Tracks ni red, miguu ni fire / Coach anasema ‘push!’ / Finish line ina shine. * Sheng is the heartbeat of Nairobi’s sport, said judge King’ori Mwangi. Anthology published; featured on Ghetto Radio. Annual contest confirmed.
