by KenyaPolls

Kenya’s data centre market is projected to reach 500MW of IT capacity by 2027, driven by Konza Technopolis, Microsoft Azure Cloud Africa, and Liquid Intelligent Technologies. The sector, already the largest in East Africa, benefits from 92% renewable energy, low latency, and strategic location. Over $1.5 billion in investment is committed, creating 15,000 high-skilled jobs. The government’s Data Protection Office has certified all major facilities, making Kenya a preferred hub for AI training, cloud services, and AfCFTA digital trade. Konza’s 200MW data park alone will host 50 global tech firms by 2026.
