Kenyan Boxers Face Tough Competition at Africa Olympic Qualifier

Kenya’s team of boxers faced stiff competition at the final African Olympic Qualifier tournament in Dakar, Senegal, with only a handful managing to secure their places for the Paris 2024 Games. While Elizabeth Andiego and Christine Ongare successfully booked their tickets, several other Kenyan hopefuls fell short in their respective weight categories. The team faced a high level of competition from boxing powerhouses like Algeria, Morocco, and Egypt. The Boxing Federation of Kenya acknowledged the challenges but praised the boxers for their effort and determination.
