Kenyan runner Timothy Kiplagat emerged victorious at the Tata Mumbai Marathon, one of India’s most prestigious road races. Kiplagat, who has been steadily improving his marathon times, broke away from a large lead group in the final kilometers to win the race. His victory was never in doubt as he powered through the streets of Mumbai to the finish line. The win earned him a significant prize purse and marked his first major marathon victory.
