Kenya Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways, effective June 2024, expanding connectivity to 40 new global destinations via Doha. The partnership allows seamless booking on routes like Nairobi–Bangkok, Mombasa–Milan, and Nairobi–São Paulo. Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka said the deal boosts tourism and cargo potential while supporting the airline’s recovery plan. Qatar will also provide technical assistance in fleet maintenance and crew training. The move comes ahead of Kenya’s proposed partial privatization of the national carrier, with Qatar rumored to be a strategic investor.
