by KenyaPolls

Kiambu, Kenya – Traders in Wangige town are set to benefit from a new multi-million shilling modern market, announced by Governor Kimani Wamatangi. The three-storey facility, to be built in Kabete Sub-County, will accommodate approximately 700 traders and is expected to be completed within 13 months.

Governor Wamatangi assured traders that temporary facilities will be provided during construction to ensure business continuity. He emphasized that no current traders will lose their trading spaces, and allocation of stalls in the new market will be transparent and fair.

The project forms part of President William Ruto’s flagship initiative, which allocates Sh3 billion for five modern markets across Kiambu County, including two in Ruiru, Kangangi market in Kiambu town, and Githunguri market. The development aims to create a conducive working environment for traders and boost local commerce.
