The Football Kenya Federation has partnered with a blockchain company to launch an official series of digital collectibles (NFTs) featuring iconic Kenyan footballers. The first collection will include animated moments celebrating the careers of players like Joe Kadenge, Dennis Oliech, and Tabitha Chawinga. A portion of the proceeds will go to a pension fund for former players. This is a modern way to celebrate our history, engage a global fanbase, and support our legends, said an FKF marketing executive. The launch is slated for early 2025.
