The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has introduced a contemporary interview facility designed to enhance investigative efforts and intensify the battle against corruption.

The advanced center was established with technical and financial assistance from the FBI, the United States Embassy, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

During the launch ceremony, EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud praised the partnerships and expressed gratitude to the collaborators, stating that the facility represents a significant advancement in the commission’s modernization of investigative procedures.

Mohamud also acknowledged the partners for their ongoing support in fostering ethics, transparency, accountability, and effective governance.

United States Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Susan Burns emphasized that the facility will directly improve the commission’s capacity to conduct professional and thorough investigations.

“She highlighted that the fight against corruption is a cornerstone of effective law enforcement,” according to EACC head of Corporate Communications Stephen Karuga.

Similarly, INL Director Maureen Mimnaugh reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to persistent cooperation with the commission, indicating that Kenya’s sustained development is intrinsically connected to the successful fulfillment of EACC’s mission.
