The County Government of Nakuru, in partnership with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), hosted an eSports and digital skills tournament where the top performers in coding, digital design, and competitive gaming were not just given cash prizes but were offered direct employment and internship opportunities with participating tech companies. We are using the appeal of gaming and tech to identify and fast-track raw talent into the job market, said the Nakuru County Executive for ICT. The model is set to be replicated by other counties.
