County Commissioner Directs Officers and Security Agencies to Intensify War on Crime
The County Commissioner has issued a directive for all National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO) and security agencies to intensify the war on crime across the county. The directive was given during a high-level security meeting, where the commissioner emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards all criminal activities, including armed robbery, drug and substance abuse, and illicit brew. He called for a more aggressive and proactive approach from all officers on the ground.

The commissioner specifically instructed chiefs and their assistants to heighten community surveillance and intelligence gathering within their jurisdictions. They are expected to work closely with the Nyumba Kumi initiative to identify and report criminal elements and their hideouts. Simultaneously, the police have been directed to increase patrols, set up strategic roadblocks, and conduct targeted raids to disrupt criminal networks.

This renewed offensive aims to create a safe and secure environment for residents and to boost public confidence in the security forces. The commissioner warned that any officer found to be lax or complicit in criminal activities would face severe disciplinary action. The public was also urged to play their part by volunteering information to aid in the arrest and prosecution of lawbreakers.
