To aid nervous system recovery, Athletics Kenya launched Cool-Down Music Therapy at all national races from September 1, 2025—live performances by traditional *nyatiti* players, Benga bands, and Taarab ensembles in recovery zones. Rhythm resets the heart faster than rest, said sports psychologist Dr. Amina Hassan. At the Nairobi Marathon, HRV recovery improved by 41%. World Athletics featured it in its *Recovery Innovation* report. All race organizers must now include cultural music in post-race plans.
