Betting firm SportPesa has integrated an innovative AI feature into its app that generates real-time, automated Swahili audio commentary for matches lacking a live broadcast. Users can toggle the feature to hear a synthetic voice describe key actions like shots, goals, and cards based on live match data feeds. We are serving the millions of fans who follow matches via text updates. Now they can hear the action in a language that resonates, said SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri. The feature, named Msimamizi wa Sauti (Voice Conductor), currently supports the FKF Premier League and selected European leagues.
