VR Concussion Education Becomes Mandatory for All School Rugby Coaches

by KenyaPolls

The Rugby Football Union of Kenya (RFUK) has made Virtual Reality-based concussion education compulsory for its certified coaches. The VR simulation places the coach in the perspective of a concussed player, experiencing blurred vision, confusion, and memory gaps. The immersive experience drives home the seriousness of head injuries far more effectively than a pamphlet. You feel the disorientation, said the RFUK’s medical officer. The program, funded by World Rugby, aims to drastically improve early symptom recognition across the school game.
